Tony Law is a stand-up comedian from Canada that hails from Lacombe, Alberta but has lived in London, United Kingdom since he was 19.

He specializes in the surreal, and most of his comedy routines are improvised with topics he has just thought about without any prior planning otherwise usually involving creative and fictional scenarios.

Tony’s career in comedy began when he won the New Act competition at Glastonbury Festival in 1995.

In 2002, he became a frequent panellist on Channel 4’s comedy quiz show Does Doug Know? And starred in several television commercials for Gala Bingo.

Furthermore, Law has had numerous appearances on Edinburgh & Beyond and Comedy Cuts TV shows. His inaugural comedy tour took place in 2009, followed by his serving as Stewart Lee’s support act in 2010.

During this period of time, much of Tony’s material revolved around his experiences travelling through time with his sausage dog Cartridge Davison, whom he also featured alongside on ITV’s Comedy Cuts TV show — Cartridge being the inspiration behind Law’s Edinburgh show ‘Dog Of Time’.

In April 2011, Russell Howard took part in an extended episode of his own show, Russell Howard’s Good News. On October 17th of the same year, he was a guest on BBC’s Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
