Robert White performs at Kids Comedy Show in SouthamptonRobert White, the runner-up of Britain’s Got Talent in 2018, has worked steadily over the years to become a successful stand-up comedian.

In 2006, Robert White was a finalist at the Hackney Empire competition and went on to win the Malcolm Hardee Main Award at Edinburgh Festival in 2010.

Nowadays, he is a much sought-after act who performs in clubs of all sizes, theatres, and festivals all around the UK and abroad, and is especially good in the entertainment of children across all age groups.

His time is divided between comedy gigs, tours, writing songs and musicals as well as raising awareness about autism.

‘Just one of the funniest performers I’ve ever seen, I’ve never laughed like that !’ David Walliams

‘He may sound like a niche act, but the musical comedian has managed to garner a wide appeal with his chaotic style and improvised musical skills.’ The Sun

‘ … souped-up risqué keyboard-based songs, waspish asides and neurotically charged camperie from a hyperactive man-child who is among the most original of this year’s Fringe…. Superb’ The Telegraph

“surprisingly original, and funny…. exactly the sort of act who should win Britain’s Got Talent.” The Daily Mail

Tom Toal at Southampton Comedy Club for The Attic’s Children’s Comedy Show

Tom Toal performs children's comedy show at Comedy Cloub in SouthamptonTom Toal, a comedian, writer and actor from Bexleyheath in South East London, is one of comedy’s up-and-coming talents.

In 2010, his debut show On The Scrapheap, which was based on the end of his 6-year relationship, was well-received and commended after being performed at both the Edinburgh and Leicester Festivals. His follow-up work Rom-Coms and Revolutions was a hit too; it was sold out for the entirety of its run.

Tom Toal is highly capable of adjusting to different audiences. He has taken part in diverse events from launching a Post Rock Band album to raising awareness for the Socialist Workers Party. Tom expertly adjusts his style depending on the crowd, including children’s shows, Stag/Hen weekends, art centres, and even corporate events.

His evidence of this is apparent with notable gigs such as in 2013 when he performed at The Comedy Reserve with The Pleasance during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

In 2014 Tom Toal was named a finalist for Amused Moose’s Best Comedy Show for his solo Edinburgh Festival Fringe show Prequel and most recently in 2017, he opened shows for Rob Brydon during Rob’s tour across the country.

‘Tom is a naturally skilful storyteller and smatters his stories with a quick wit and tinges of dark humour.’
